Hi Folks,

Focusrite's Plug-in Collective is currently offering two free Sound Packs for AAS plug-ins.

A while back I upgraded to the VA-2 but haven't had a chance to use it much. AAS have 15 Sound Packs available - just wondering what are people's favourite Sound Packs? If you could only have two, which ones would they be?

Cheers,

Chris

What you might want may not be a part of the offer. I had only 5 options to choose from.

But to answer your question I like Pivotal and Low End Theory.

I got Cinematix and Multiverse and I don't regret either. But neither of those are Ultra Analog packs. The download also came with the Swatches pack which I had never heard of before. Apparently it's free, and it's basically a sampler of all the other packs. If you can pick that up first it'll give you a really good idea of what the other packs are about.

I have 12 to choose from, and only those I don't already have are listed. however they aren't all there, I wanted to get Technocracy but it's probably too recent.

all the AAS soundsets are premium quality but beware, some of the older ones aren't sorted very well, such as plastic pop, otherwise a highlight imo, which only has "digital" or "analog" categories, therefore annoying to browse.

They really are very well done. I am pleasantly surprised.
What I like most is that the patches are very dynamic, which makes them fun to play. Some of the sounds change completely as you increase the velocity, but nice and gradually without abrupt changes. Even as a very mediocre keyboard player I'm able to get some nice accent notes that make things sound very rich and nice.
