… but if you use an external FX which completely changes the nature of the sound from said synth, then it could be any synth rather than the One Synth we are using for the Challenge.
Surely getting the sound you want for your track from the Synth of the Month is part of the challenge? Not who's applied what FX to get a sound.
Otherwise, we would be in the realms of "FX's of the Month", or FX Challenge!

But I still think that you will get a different output from each synth because of the synths internal features...even if the synth is juiced up with distortion and brickwall clipping.
Digits on steroids is surely going to sound different to Noisemaker on steroids for example.

I was thinking that I will skip another round since but I had 2 free days so I looked at both synths and decide to discard elektro and give Noisemaker a chance. During quick test I didn't find way to assign velocity to filter and even volume in electro. Maybe there is but I don't wont to spend all time finding it.
So in these two days I created a really weird track. For those using subwoofer beware . I went for more subtle and more soft tune this time. Very very simple drums and perc stuff. No heavy guns (commercial plugs) FX used. even if I used them, they can't help my poor skills .
https://soundcloud.com/trojakew/decay
FL Studio 20.0.5
15 instances of TAL Noisemaker
DAW FX's:
2x Maximus
8x Fruity parametric EQ 2
1x Fruity Limiter
Other FX's:
3x VST zOne Amplio 2
4x VST zOne Quo
3x OrilRiver
Though month. Three track in total for three different competitions. First was for Songwriting competition, 2nd for 8Dio contest and this is 3rd.

Hi! Its Antti Luode..
I Decided to do this again..
https://soundcloud.com/antti-luode/aluo ... death-star
"In A Galaxy Far Far Away..
The Dawn Of The Last Day Has Passed For Death Star..
Now Her Valiant Inhabitants Are Staging A Desperate Last Fight
Against The Rebel Scum..
Who Have No Respect For The Empire..
But It Will All Be In Vein..
As Her Heart Stops Beating..
As Her Valiant Crew All Die..
For The Glory Of The Galactic Empire..
Coming Soon To A Theater Near You.."
It uses 12 instances to Tal Elek7ro
9 instances of Tal Noisemaker..
There are the usual limiters and some Flstudio Convolvers
as reverbs.. One instance of Fl Studio Delay 2..
One peak controller on the kick and that is about it..

Submission Post
Published my Track on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/p-e-t-e-r-h/prev ... gnificance
I will reset "download" flag in a few day, so go and grab in one of the next days.
Still the HQ Version is only on Choon: https://choon.co/tracks/0crhb7y1dz9/thi ... nificance/
Funny, with a clear as hell mix, even the 96KBits Version sounds acceptable...
I have only used TAL NoiseMaker, 30-40 instances, I have used Bitwig, a pletora of Bitwig plugins and several MeldaProduction Gems. I will only name the commercial ones: MSpectralDynamics, MAutoEqualizer, MDynamicMB, MSaturatorMB, MStereoProcessor, MUltraMiximizer, MTurboReverb.
Track has been tested on crapy mobile phone Headphones, my Bayerdynamics Headphones, my Studio Monitors, crapy consumer speakers (missing a bit low end, get yourselfs good peakers guys) and even in my car...I'm pretty confident that you can turn up the volume rather loud on every speakers and it will still "sound"...
Certified Quality: 100% wobble and reese free!

Can't wait to listen to everyone's tracks! Here's my entry:
https://soundcloud.com/rellyk/rellik-la ... della-luna
Last month I worked on OSC every night like it was a second job I put a lot less time into this one. I was massively inspired by listening through the work of Jasinski and J.Ruegg, so I'm really trying to stretch my sound design and technical/rhythmic creativity, and trying out a lot of new stuff that I really really don't have a handle on yet - i.e. sorry for hurting your ears
