So I had a bunch of random issues this month. Apparently my audio interface didn't like upgrading to macOS Mojave and would randomly crash and I would lose work. Now after upgrading, I have lots of crackling, I think it's related only to this Noisemaker choon. The CPU usage was so high that I couldn't actually play it back. Also my original headphones broke this month and I got some crappier replacements, so who knows how any mixing sounds now. Fun times.

Anyhoo, here's the thing. It originally was a set of chords from @lempface to @rghvdberg as a joke. Then Rob made something nice with them and I stole it. Well, it was supposed to be a collab, but then it wasn't because he made a polka masterpiece. So, I was left just stealing things.

Really wanted to work on my raw synth patches to I wanted to use as few effects and synth layer/sound design as possible, which is thankfully not that bad for NoiseMaker (seriously such a good little synth). This month has been crazy so I've only been able to work on this in very short spurts, but managed to get it down and done. Hope you all enjoy.

I consider Noisemaker as one of the greatest synths ever created. It's surprising how so few synthesizers have achieved what Noisemaker has.

Still, some areas to consider:
- routing to multiple targets
- continuous drawable envelope rate
- chorus dry/wet
- preset management
- single page gui

Since people are using commercial effects, I used ableton live and ott.

Live does what the best commercial vsts do: all the work for you, influence everything to sound the same, and cost too much.

This is 10 Noisemakers and 5 plugins;
a sidechain compressor, and mastering:
utility bass mono > meldaeq dip at 386 Hz > Ott 17% depth, longer and less upward comp > unlimited

This work would've been a poor entry anyway. It's stylistically dead in the water.

On a positive note, it's a new year according to some calendars, and even when pain, failures and lessons appear overwhelmingly abundant, I'm grateful that I have limbs.
