Yeah! And I'm pretty sure it doesn't null if you reverse-phase it ;) :D

Anyone else experiencing that weird glitch when tweaking the XY pad in "Direct" mode? Freezes for a sec and then unfreezes. I'm just assuming it's a simple bug they will iron out soon.

It's a little rough around the edges, but overall I think it's a pretty amazing instrument :tu:

I agree. I think it has a lot of potential when scoring for film/games etc.

I also find this interesting.
And re-demo'd the Arturia version - just the Prophet VS presets - as that was my immediate impression to what Vecto was attempting. Like others, I do hear the M1 & D50/55 type sounds, but definitely get that Prophet VS vibe too, albeit, brighter when compared to the Arturia VS.
Just going through presets and it's definitely on my watch list. Biggest negative is I hate the skin. But so much more promising than that WilK trap spamming about. Trying to remember the Rob Papen sale cycle now.

I'm trying the demo now and Vecto is really a very nice sounding instrument. As mentioned earlier very D-50ish at times.

But as an owner of Blue II, Predator 2, and Go2 I'm not sure this brings anything new to the table. :?

The sound of demos on YouTube reminds me of Korg Wavestation, but improved. I have virtual Wavestation and M1, but rarely use it because I don't like their interfaces (it's better than hardware, but still not very easy for me personally). I like Korg Wavestation, and, сonsidering that Vecto is also capable of making much more modern sounds, I'm really interested.

I think the Wavestation samples tend to be larger in size and therefore more detailed. Also the WS can do true Wavesequencing while Vecto can only do an approximation of WS.

Still Vecto is a very nice instrument but the similarity to other RP plugins makes it hard to justify the purchase at this point.

I tried it a couple of days ago and also thought about old Korg instruments such as the Wavestation. 90's nostalgic sound, just like most of Rob Papen's synth imho. You like it or you don't. Personally I uninstalled it right after.
Please don’t read the above post. It’s a stupid one. Simply pass.

Very cool! :tu:

Downloaded the demo yesterday, uninstalled it today.
Bought the full version today, installed it – great synth (not a single EDM patch or hoover in sight!). Right up my alley!

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I love this as a pad synth!!

Post

I uninstalled it to focus a little on Analog Lab, but I already miss it.
Definitely on my watch list.
