If you have a bit of coding knowledge you could also analyze some input data with fft and then automatically map some values to your oscillator bank. Most of that is already in the library. The interesting thing would be to see if you could set up analysis rules for where it may be beneficial to your output to sub in a more complex wave for a sine. With the kinds of sounds you are describing though I’d just go ahead and make a giant oscillator bankthat can swap between a good variety of waves.
