Went to PA to buy Lion, and wound up grabbing the Deizel Herbert amp, after downloading demos for a bunch of PA saturators. They were all cool, almost tempted by the bx-saturator, but compared to Herbert, which does great cleans as well as the brutal metal stuff, as well as some nice crunches, tons of familiar controls, many presets, countless IRs, no contest; only Herbert offered both subtle and NOT.

Lion, Thorn, Unify, Omnisphere going into Herbert, basically anything I tried it with…

Here's a simpler Lion Demo, the Saw pad sound in the beginning is Lion, the second synth that comes in is Diva and the drums are Tal-sampler.

Nothing fancy, just 3 tracks with Presswerk as the Master limiter


I think so far my only gripe is that none of the factory presets are selectable within the plugin. I have use the "open preset" function and then browse to the preset to use it.

So for the most part I've just been making my own sounds from scratch, but it would be nice to cycle through the factory presets within the plugin.

I'm wondering if this is a MacOS Catalina issue, because I've had this same issue with Triad.

Indeed, great sounding demo again. Diva sounds so fat and rich.

Lion has this nice, dark sound character to it. I got Thorn, but I am a little tempted to get Lion with an unused code I have and get done with it (PA).

Regarding presets, surely sounds like a MacOS issue, because I am on Windows and I can cycle and browse presets as intended without having to use "open preset" function.

V0RT3X: What DAW are you running? That's really strange that they are on the disk but not in the browser... I'm running Catalina here and I haven't seen that issue.

Check if the folder which contains the factory presets is locked. Sometimes MacOS does strange things with newly installed folders.

Hey Lizard, I'm running Bitwig Studio 3.03. I'll install Ableton Live 10 again and see if i get the same issues. I checked the file permissions on the folder and it shows that my computer account can read\write so I'm guessing it's not locked.

Ok just installed Ableton Live 10 Fresh and it's doing the same thing.

I installed lion and Triad using the PA Installation manager, so maybe It's just giving me a older version?

I think you have to access them though the drop down menu. I didn’t have luck using the arrow buttons and I’m on Windows.
