Oh, but I played with some high notes in Atom while looking at Voxengo SPAN, and I saw no Nyquist artifacts. So I should say that effectively, you have a very expensive, very bad FL Studio 3xosc clone with oversampling. :lol:

And one last thing: this synth was coded by Attila Fodor (Fine Cut Bodies) with presets by Ill Factor, and ENDORSED by Carlos Cid.

"ATOM is an amazing synth. It looks great, has fantastic presets, and the interface is incredibly easy to use." — CID

Like, how much did they pay him to lie through his teeth about the quality of workmanship here?

So, minor revision to my previous statement regarding filters:

The master filter effect is monophonic; however, there are nonresonant LP/HP filters for each oscillator that can be modulated using the Mod Envelopes, and those will give you polyphonic filtering. But again, no resonance on the osc filters. The weird thing is that, to my memory doing a cursory play-through of presets, they all used the master filter. Not ONE used the osc filters. That's some severe negligence on the part of IllFactor if you ask me.

Also, none of the filters have key tracking. :ud:

I don't understand why they'd price it so high.
Maybe so they can put it in sale for 50% off later on?

Also, I'd have to give them my credit card info just to demo it?

Aren't they afraid to get sued by Presonus?

Have they trademarked the word Atom ?

VST is likely different enough to a controller to not warrant any copyright legal battles, otherwise Ariel Motor Company could sue Presonus for using the word Atom https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ariel_Atom

That's a totally different branch, though.

But, you're probably right with this: "VST is likely different enough to a controller to not warrant any copyright legal battles"

this synth......omg. Checked out the trial;

not even a per voice Filter. Crappy Delay, no modpage, no PWM, no way to turn off velo, the presets are sooo simple, 2 lfo's with per lfo just 1 (!!!) parameter to mod, center screen is filled with an animation that is there for NO reason (AT ALL), not resizable, no fm, no pm, no interaction between the osc's, only 4 filter types, quite crappy reverb

for..............

189 dollar????????????????????? What the actual f***
