Did a quick search through the forum and couldn't find anyone talking about this yet. It just came out and is on a pretty launch window sale at the moment. I was curious enough to bite the bullet and check it out.

Initially, it reminded me of Heavyocity Damage which is why I bought it. Damage is and has been fantastic, but has been a out for long enough that it has kind of a recognizable sound. Perc X seems pretty similar, but with a fresh new sound in a similar vein.

The thing that I like most though is that it is playable, and basically turn key. It comes with built in sequences, but can be played like a sample library. It has a lot of really intelligent kits put together as well, which really create a good spread of low end and high end percussion hits. Something I found was kind of unwieldy with Damage. The loops were great, but the kits didn't always match the loops, and it made creating your own variations complicated. At least, for what I was trying to do.

Perc X is not Kontakt, and is instead it's own standalone VST. It makes the most of that, though, by letting you create in house sequences that tempo sync all the preroll sounds to hit right on the beat where you enter the note. I am not a huge fan of using in app sequence editors, but for certain sounds at least this can actually save me some time in the future.

Ultimately, I think mixing their loops, with some DAW sequencing, and maybe a dab of in app sequencing, really make this thing a next level piece of software.

I purchased Perc X Pro with my own money, and am not working for Auddict in any way. But I made a review video for it here if any of you are further curious. That sale is legit, and this thing also seems legit. I am actually excited to use it on some upcoming projects. It feels like it's been a while since I was really happy with a purchase.

A heaping dose of outrageously goofy synth tracks, scores and chiptunes.

Thanks for the video. This looks impressive.

Not much interest in it here. Maybe you should post this video also here where there is more people interested in it: https://vi-control.net/community/thread ... -aax.87332

By the way. You should be an actor :D

Thanks for the heads up! I am amazed how many people are responding in that forum, where as this forum was like, "meh". Is KVR dying?

And thanks, haha. I try to make the videos entertaining. Still really fiddling with the format.

Yeah, vi-control is more sample library oriented than kvr. This one is more about synths I noticed. I'm sure people on there will find your video useful.

Well I subscribed immediately after your "like and subscribe..." :D That was pretty funny for me so keep it that way. Seriously quit all and go act in Guardians of Galaxy 3
