also sports where designed by the man to create division.
I don’t believe in an Illuminati, but I actually take somewhat seriously that notion that sports do indeed promote division...
thats ok. they believe in you...

The old M1 vst somehow always makes it into my tunes for one thing or another
Its great to see this old classic still getting used.
The Triton VST is getting some use here.
I use mostly freeware plugins, but when i demo someting comercial and i really, i mean REALLY like it. i will buy it. M1 and WS being two such plugins. very few have moved me to buy after demoing. Aside from my DAW (EXT2), i have also bought my main Drum plugin "Linplug RMIV", V-station, Ravity(s) and dimension pro < which i uninstalled since i quit using bloated, sample library based VSTs.
HW SYNTHS [KORG T2EX - AKAI AX80 - YAMAHA SY77 - ENSONIQ VFX]
HW MODULES [OBi M1000 - ROLAND MKS-50 - ROLAND JV880 - KURZ 1000PX]
SW [CHARLATAN - OBXD - OXE - ELEKTRO - MICROTERA - M1 - SURGE - RMiV]
DAW [ENERGY XT2/1U RACK WINXP / MAUDIO 1010LT PCI]

Went to watch one of the 1999 cricket World Cup semi-finals at Lords (expecting England vs. Australia, but got Zimbabwe in place of England due to fuckwittedness in previous rounds).

Watched from the Members’ Stand as a friend’s dad gave us his tickets because he didn’t want to watch Zimbabwe.

Bar was open all day, and there wasn’t a single sober person in the ground. Almost no one could walk in a straight line, and I don’t remember talking to anyone all day (other than bar staff) who weren’t slurring their speech).

Cricket isn’t just about the game, it’s about getting hammered to the point of being clinically brain dead.

more interesting than "the cricket".
even typing the word puts me in a state of ennui.
One imagines that modern players will put themselves in a competitive frame of mind by listening to 20+ minutes of sinthesiser noodling pre-match.
well, that's the bit they should televise.
not the grown men throwing a ball about.
we are not american..
I thought you, as a stoned slacker, would appreciate it! It's the long drawn out bits which make the exciting bits even more dramatic. Tension building etc..a bit like songwriting..oh, hold on... :hihi:
the long drawn out bit i can get with.
its the whole "outside in the sun with other people" im not as fond of really.
Which country’s version of “outside in the sun”? I keep hearing that the English don’t actually see the sun that often...
Depends. I grew up in the south of England, and probably got as much sunshine/cloudy days mix as here in SC, and definitely a lot less rain than the Carolinas.

But in England...it’s grim up North...

thats not true! here in the north west we are alloted 17 days of sun.
some days the clouds even get out of the way :o
I only know what I see on TV (mostly Doctor Who & such), and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a blue sky over England on the telly. Curiously, all the alien planets you folks in the UK seem to visit in your sci-fi have exactly the same perpetual overcast skies...

Edit: Is it different in the other countries of the UK? Or is the whole kingdom protected from direct sun exposure?

The first time I went to Scotchland I went in the Wetherspoons at Edinburgh train station and they had two fridges full of cans of soft drinks. One full of irn-bru, and the other for everything else.

Wouldn't mind, but it's shite.

Not sure if it’s changed as it’s been a long time, but whenever I went to Scotland every pub had exactly 4 beers on tap, either Tenants or McEwans.

Can’t remember how they were classed. Light, special, heavy and one other one?
