Just so, against the doubt.

The time you spend (or waste ;) ) with Iris 2 is worth much more than 8,88$.

i wouldnt buy it for 8.88. i would wait til they give it away for free of charge.

should i really take iris 2 for free of charge in 2020?
or
maybe i should wait til they give me money to take it?
but then hmmm
should i really take iris 2 plus the offered moneys in 2020?
im confused
hard to decide
i better wait for 2021 then?
maybe they trick me into something?
hmm
i better ask george carlin whats his opinion on that matter?

It's a no brainier. Plus you get two AAS packs worth $20-40 a piece. Even if you don't have a full version of an AAS synth you can use them with their player.

It is a great plugin with interesting sound design options (you filter sounds by drawing on the sound spectrum), a good samples library and some great presets (there is also a free pads expansion called "gratis" somewhere on the internet"). And you also get the AAS player with two packs and it also includes a selection of 450 patches from all the other packs! A no-brainer for sure. Don't miss this opportunity.

The only thing I can add is:

well at least that thread tricked me into trying out breaktweaker expanded. neat little drums with 4 expansion packs. i say thats even more of a nobrainer on that izotope deals than the iris synth since there arent that much drum synths out there tbh. synths of all sorts you can get on every corner nowadays. drums are rare

There is also a great free preset pack here from Audio UX.

The ones called gratis can be found here:

Sound C loud
Band C amp
Clicks and pops is all I get

Yes, Simon worked on sound libraries for the original (v1) Iris for quite some time. Luftrum too, from the looks of it.

I bought a copy last year for about $10, then a few months later got a second copy free, which I'm saving to give as a gift. Probably a PIB free-with-any-purchase.

Bought it.

I did, but i really don't know what to do with it.
Trash2 for me was better 9$ spent. :)
However 9$ on Iris was still better spent than 9$ for the last 3 beers i don't need and usually regret on a night out.
