alchemy was my first 3rd-party plugin (a million years ago). i would not give up the current alchemy for it, for any reason...SiloCybin wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 8:38 pmThey won't do you any good on your Apple tarnished version of Alchemy, lol. They don't work on Logic's Alchemy 2. The old library only works with the original Alchemy. I only know of two 3rd party libraries for Alchemy 2:

There's another one coming from Leap into the Void.
The Version 1 banks seem be be loadable into Version 2.
Haven't tried it yet, but saved some ressources for that venture.

Alchemy 2 supports legacy libraries (provided they are licensed of course). I'm running all my old Patchpool and Camel libraries inside it.SiloCybin wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 8:38 pmThey won't do you any good on your Apple tarnished version of Alchemy, lol. Massive X is amazing.
Three things are missing.
- 3rd party Library support.
- 32/2 setting for the lfo.
- Polyphonic performer (with save/load preset).
Wouldnt hurt (would be awesome) with the ability to insert the filters in slots abc aswell, with crossfade.
Thats it.

i am really loving Massive X. one thing i can't figure out though is how to fully use Remote Octave function in Maschine 2 software. sure, i can choose a "variation," but how do i switch between them during the course of a song? maybe i am missing something.
my newest sounds:

Cakewalk by BandLab, Komplete 13, Maschine 2 (MKI & Jam), Fathom Synth, Guitars, Jam Origin MIDI Guitar, EXH Superego+ etc

I quickly ran through the new presets on MX 1.3 last night after installing. Inspiring stuff.
Massive and Massive X both always sound beautiful--just a cut above.
Since I'm a tweaker, not a programmer, I appreciate that the browser has new updated presets labelled as "New presets from v. 1.1," New presets from v. 1.2," etc.
Question though: I'm aware that we can incorporate our own noise samples (and that there are samples included as well) but I'm not sure how to implement this feature. Is there a tutorial somewhere that breaks this down? Also, is this implemented similar to iZotope's Iris?
Cheers

When you open the Noisetables browser you will see +Add Folder. You can also drag&drop in the Noise area.

I actually have quite a lot of nice wavetables from analog synths, so when I’m in the mood I use Pigments 2 for that. However, MX does sound better to my ears.Calenberger wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 6:09 pmWhat wavetables do you have that make that difference?functionform wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 5:42 pm Great update, but really wish we could import our own wavetables. It's 2020. It's the number one reason I tend not to open my copy of MX. What's the hold up? I get the history of Massive, but landscape has changed on wavetable synthesis, customization is everything - especially with a synth that clearly wants to define itself as an sound design tool first.

Wavetables anyone?
Grab some free by ESW here: https://www.echosoundworks.com/eswcorewavetables
The urge for Massive X to support wavetables will only increase.

Nice to see new patches, but I'm still expecting weird issues with key retriggering, but that really seems to only be my system more than anything.
Take care

just by the way, I have over 7000 wavetables, so that would be a long list!
