Very cool.
NI should hire someone like you and make Youtube videos to explore (and showcase) tricks and possibilities with MX. That wouldn't be expensive, and surely would help boost some more interest in the synth.

No need if you can get that for free. :P

I agree though, it's nice to have such videos. Not exactly my cup of tea, in terms of the sound presented in this one, but, generally.
Plugins and a DAW. On an operating system. Which runs on a computer.

thank you, I would love to do that, I don't make videos on a regular enough basis to justify it though, and my fear about being hired is having to meet a quota or promote things I don't want to, but if I could do it on my terms, that would be dope.

I have a feeling that as I make more content, more opportunities will present themselves
but for now I need to work on my work ethic and create a portfolio for if and when I decide to "job hunt" for a software job

NI is actually one I've considered working for before, one of the first synths I bought outside of logic was reaktor

but they could get more, with higher quality :)

that was my biggest concern with this video, the sound is pretty damn experimental, and harsh
I use this technique for more cinematic and ambient tones as well, it's just a matter of finesse

this video was a bit rushed tbh, and I should have also shown how it can be used it more subtle ways
but the point of my videos isn't really to show how to get end results, but to show the methods used for exploring ideas

Thanks so much! This is exactly my cup of tea! Actually watching this video made me think twice. I was getting ready to sell Massive but this video highlights how "powerful" the patching is. So I decided to keep it for now. After having synths like Vital and Pigments, it was hard to go back to Massive without the visual feedback. But I love what you did here.

It's rather not a problem. Sound Designers will see the potential of what can be done with it (like feeding Comb to PM), and those who would like to see the final recipe to copy and paste are rather not interested in synths like MX in the first place.
The right audience will appreciate videos like yours.
Beware! The software discussed in this topic has unacceptable aliasing at -386dBTP but it can be fixed by changing the sample rate to 12Bit

I have another one, I think this title isn't click baity enough though, there's a really cool delay trick at the end

Title is not but this image with sample with hit points is click baity AF! 😁

ahh, yeah, sorry, I didn't think about that, I wish massive X had internal retrigger, or an arp, then that actually wouldn't be super clickbaity, but my next massive tricks will build on this one a bit

I do actually use sounds like that in my psytrance tracks.

I think by rolling off some of the hi freq harshness and adding a trancegate FX it would be possible to get a classy psytrance lead frorm what you have shown here.

So new soundbanks from NI for Massive X: Haze, Quest, and Bounce. I don't find any of these appealing at all. The demos are terrible as well, most certainly not my cup of tea.
