I have old Battery 1 and FM7. It use the serial number and CD for authorization.

You need battery_patch101.exe and batterydxipatch.exe
Samples can be found in newer versions of Battery (eg Battery 2).
Unfortunately, even if you legally obtain a serial number, you still need the original CD. This is a problem if the CD is lost or broken. I found CDs on the internet and use a virtual CD when reinstalling.
By the way, it works without any problems on Windows 10.

I thought Battery 1 used to be authorized via Service Center which is now defunct. This is good news, and I stand corrected!
