Ring mod is the harder one to find,
Ring Mod (to me) was always a standard feature, has that changed over the years?

It's still quite common I would say. Maybe the flood of wavetable synths and similar made some think a ring mod is not necessary (?). But it's still in a lot of software and hardware synth. New-ish "classic' synths like Invader2 have it.
Thanks guys my thought was that rm was a little harder to find on poly synths, especially commercial ones. I was looking at hardware too and the Prologue is one of the few for example. Software is also not as common so thanks for all the suggestions.
Yes, if you look at classic analogue polysynths (or their emulations) it doesn't seem to be a standard feature, the Yamaha CS-60/80 was one of the few exceptions. But with the emergence of VA synths, it was not uncommon in my opinion.

VSTs I am currently using, or used in the past....

Novation V-Station (Ring Mod, OSC FM)
discoDSP Discovery Pro (Ring Mod, OSC FM)
Audiorealism Bass Line Pro (Ring Mod, OSC FM, Filter FM)
Waldorf Largo (Ring Mod, OSC FM, Filter FM)
FXpansion Cypher 2 (Ring Mod, OSC FM)
Arturia Modular V (Ring Mod, OSC FM, Filter FM?)
Korg MS-20 VST (Ring Mod)
Korg Odyssey VST (Ring Mod, Filter FM)
GMedia Oddity 2 (Ring Mod, Filter FM)
GMedia ImpOSCar 2 (Ring Mod)

edit: Odyssey VST, Oddity 2

Pigments can do most of that.
The neat thing about Pigments is that it has some type of FM in each of the four osc types; and in some cases, the FM can be used alongside other forms of modulation. I think ring mod is present in the sampler module.

Surge also has FM and ringmod capabilities.
That's right - ring mod in sampler engine, but as with FM, it's only from a dedicated FM OSC, not from other engines. The filter modulation is available on some filters.

Dune 2/3 don't have that easy FM option of Dune 1. FM OSCs are not the same IMO

I have a few dozen New Loops patches favorited in Pigments--keep up the awesome work. I recently had fun applying some FM to the sample in one of your piano patches, partially inspired by some of the work you and others did in the Rusted Keys collection.

u-he ACE
patch-happy:
osc2 has ring
osc2 can be patched to filter -> filter fm
osc2 has cross, but you can also patch its out to the osc1 input
LFO1 can actually be used as a DX style phase modulation carrier too via the phase input

Yes, you are right. I think, I already knew that, but I've forgotten over the years. I mainly used Oddity 1 in the 2000s.

Oh that's great. Thanks very much for saying that. Glad you find them useful. :)

Odyssey emulations also do osc fm via the sample and hold mixer I'm pretty sure.
