Ah , ok I see now .. It's more or less the same procedure as in previous versions
Except that it now works.

resaving already saved patches just for making layers is ..hm strange
No it's not. Why wouldn't you have a set of patches available to make dual layer presets?
That's the whole point of having a *dual DX7* ;)
On top of that the user user locations for presets is getting more complicated
Not really, they're just in a different directory below C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\Plogue\Fermata\Presets

So, one directory for the main presets and another one for the patches.

BUG ALERT!
I watched some GUI glitches. Look at the screenshots, please.

Screenshot 1: sometime it appears after closing the dropdown menu of the .syx files window. Looks like the phantoms of letters or smth like that;
Screenshot 1.png

Screenshot 2: sometime it appears after switching between classic and extended modes.
Screenshot 2.png

I use MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 and Studio One 5 Professional (if you need this information).

P.S. In general the synth is ultra awesome. After two or three updates we'll get the most advanced DX7 ever.

Yes there are lot's of small gui glitches
Right click a knob , modulation window pops up , when it's gone the surface of the window ise still visible as an opaque layer (win 10 )
Small issues and imho nothing to worry about , sure it would have been nice to have a super fancy scalable vector gui etc but for me the positives far outweight these small glitches .
Just likea real dx7 it's not polished

BUG ALERT!
I found something else. The settings button behaves strange when skins MKII or Centennial are enabled. It feels like the left part of the button does not work when the cursor hovers over it. The button lights up when the cursor is at the distance from the left side of the button, somewhere between the center and the left side. All the other sides of settings button work fine. So I need to move the cursor back east to make the button clickable. Sometimes it makes the life harder. :)

I think there is still a bug when deleting sysx data
Choose one of your user preset ( to bar ) and make sure these are classic sysex mode
Now make a collection by presssing store , choose destination and press rename ( patch panel )
Repeat process a couple of times , so we have 4 presets
In the sysex tab we will have something like this
Image
Bug : when deleting these wih either clicking the x , or selecting them all ( only the created ones ) , the presets are still in memory

Image
The only way to get these out of memory is to select the whole column and press one of the x

I hope all the problems we found will be fixed in the next update.

I hope they keep them to remain reminiscent of the hardware, quirks and all.

No just messing around - sure plogue will iron it out - portaFM was nicely updated.

I still haven't had a chance to dig into this as I've been busy lately - looking forward to giving it a spin - portaFM gets a load of use.

Will be fixed in next build. thanks

5 minutes demo ? 20 minutes is a better duration to « feel » if you’re at ease with programming a synh

The only Plogue product I am really interested in seems never to go on sale. (Bidule)
