Give it a new name before you download it. Say you click on "cds-2_setup.ex_" When the dialog box pops open and prompts you to save the file, change the name to "cds-2_setup.exe". Then run the installer.
My provider blocked all "xx.exe" file transfers. I'm still not sure what good it really does.
Peace
Tom

There is a problem with the Release on this synth.
If the Release on the filter section is turned down, you cannot get a long Release on the Amp Env.
Maybe they are wired the wrong way round?

Any post from you to me is suspect especally as you have never had anything good to say about me or SE, however I will address your statement. You are incorrect.Kriminal wrote:There is a problem with the Release on this synth.

The amplifier comes after the filter. If the amp has no release dialed in you can't get a release on the filter. Env controls the filter ADSR amount. No Env, no VCF ADSR. You are very quick to form your opinions ... maybe you could spend a little more time with it.
The P-600 is loaded with factory patches and was ABed real time with my personal Prophet-600 while it was being patched up. It simply wouldn't work if it wasn't right.
Peace

Thats very kind of you, but as i have no idea who you are, and my post was very polite and never mentioned SE, i think you are being ureasonable, so f**k you, you arrogant prick and stick your synth up you oversized rectal hat. Its been deleted.tomg wrote: Any post from you to me is suspect especally as you have never had anything good to say about me or SE, however I will address your statement.

Re-read my pos. If the Filter release is set low, you cannot get a long Env or Amp or whatever you chose to call it release. You can on all other synths i have, so its obviously a problemtomg wrote:Kriminal wrote:There is a problem with the Release on this synth.

No it's not. You need some better stuff if that's the way what you've got works. Crank up the cutoff to 100%, kill the filter env 0%. Give the amplifier 100% sustain and 100% release. What happens? This is synth 101...Kriminal wrote:Re-read my pos. If the Filter release is set low, you cannot get a long Env or Amp or whatever you chose to call it release. No. That's not the way it works. You can think that it should work that way all you like but you would be incorrect.Kriminal wrote:I shouldnt have to change anything, if i put a long Release on, i should get a long Release...

All the other synths i own then must be incorrect.tomg wrote:No. That's not the way it works. You can think that it should work that way all you like but you would be incorrect.Kriminal wrote:I shouldnt have to change anything, if i put a long Release on, i should get a long Release...

Look... People design synths like they want. There is no real "RIGHT" way. This happens to be the way the P-600 actually works. It follows the same standards set down by the Mini and P-5 and was designed like the p-5 to be a poly mini. If you don't like it, don't use it. It don't cost a thing. It's a fairly accurate emulation of the p-600. If you hate it... Well then .. I told you so didn't I?Kriminal wrote:All the other synths i own then must be incorrect.tomg wrote:No. That's not the way it works. To everyone who thinks I did a good job on the emulation thanks tons. I'm glad you are liking it a lot.

you're rather overly defensive arent you? I never said i hated it, i just pointed out a problem. If you cant take that on baord, you will fall with the other self righteous devs who tell ppl the same as you..'if you dont like it...blah blah'tomg wrote:If you hate it... Well then .. As it is, its no good to me with that 'feature'.
