Best drums you can get for free:
* Download SFZ from RGC Audio (free soundfont player)
* Download SF2 drum soundfonts from e.g. www.hammersound.net
Most of the better-sounding solutions are not free at all.

Hammersound has some good stuff, and so does this site:
http://www.sf2midi.com/
Go to the Drums section and sort by filesize; there are some good kits there, including the excellent Sonic Implants Blue Jay Drums (think they came with Sonar...).
There are a couple of great kits on the Battery section of Banks/Patches on this site, if you have something that will read Battery inst, or if you want to use just the samples.

I appologize for this in advance, but in proper English, "well sounding" means something that dives underwater well, or a depth finder that works well. Or it could even mean something that dives deep into a well. Ain't it a funny language?
What you meant was "good sounding drumkit" or "drum kit that sounds good", "good" being an adjective describing the noun "drumkit" rather than the verb "sound". A significant detail here is that "sounds" is a transitive verb, or somesuch nonsense.
This ends today's foolish grammar lecture!

Oh, and did anyone mention LiveKit7? Search on that in the Samples forum for the link. Or on AudioShots.
