Hi,
on Chloe x Halle - Wonder What She Thinks of Me
from 0:50,
there is this interesting snare sound."toned snare with short sustain" or sth..
Is there a particular name for this type of snare sound, that could direct me towards finding samples of that kind..?

Release 30 (not that relevant)

Filter Amt 0 (not using any envelope on the filter.)

I would say its a synthetic snare as they did in 8bit computers e.g. commodore 64.

Well it's not very "snarey" so I'm not sure how to categorize it. Percussive I guess.
There's not even the white noise mixed with it which you'll often hear in a snare.
But I have to say I quite like it as something different from the norm.
Never heard the song before either.
