this may seem like a dumb question but as far as heavy bass goes, like in brostep or just heavy dubstep. I know how to make decent growls wobbles and wubs and such.
But how would I go about making a heavy sustained bass sound? 2 examples listed below.
What settings on the envelope generally automating what settings within said envelope?

Any help is appreciated greatly!

I recommend reverse engineering a preset you like. There's a number of ways to do it as long as you keep the sustain and decay up on envelope 1. I like to automate it to chorus or distortion mix or detune on the wavetable. I generally automate the lfo's more and put it on trigger and uncheck bpm.
