Hello, I got a question about foley recording.
In the past I record the foley cloth track and it was a mono track, now in next two weeks I'm going to start work on foley for some tv series. I just wondering about the steps track.
It should be record with stereo par mics, or it depends on my choice?
Please help.

stereo mics or a pair can be cool or use stereo widening effects.
another cool trick is panning a little to (say) left and panning the reverb more right. Or vise versa.

Yeah. For "contact" sound, you don't need stereo mics as you're gonna place thr sounds by panorama anyway. If you decide to record the ambience too, though, that's where I would go for stereo recording.
