The questions I put are obsolete now that I decided.

Found Schaller Keystone which look like Kluson but have the support inside hole that I was looking for, and threaded bolted nut and not just a bushing.

Gear ratio 1:16 which is improvement as well.

Will do these on both LP and 335.

Shaft a little shorter, but hope will not be a problem.

I have them on my Eddie Durham JX16 (similar to ES-175) They work great for me.

Post was initially a lot of questions - but thought thread could serve somebody searching for replacements for Klusons.
Like the look of Kluson style. Schaller is quality all the way.

Interesting. My es-139 has shit klusons I’d love to replace.

Improve Kluson tuning machines - so I found Schaller Keystone!
