Manual to JD XA says "Use a USB flash drive sold by Roland. We cannot guarantee
operation if other products are used."
You might think it's bogus, but not so sure.
I know certain drives does not work with Xbox as one. I think to do with it needs certain drivers installable from stick. Some Sandisk does not work as example, but other noname stuff I have work.
And the same with media players that don't support certain sticks.
So what to look for regarding memory stick to synths?
Thanks.
What usb memory stick are compatible with Roland synth?

I just used any USB stick with my V-Synth GT. I used San Disk, Kingston, HP, etc. Just make sure the drive is formatted with FAT32. Also if remember correctly, it wouldn't detect drives over 32GB. I'm not sure if the JD XA is exactly the same as the V-Synth GT in that regard.
