Recording is really old though - May 12th
It was recorded in Berlin maybe 2 weeks ago...
So it was a date format thing - dec 5th- my bad. :(

To be released feb 10th, according to Andertons, anyway.

Price £2295 or €2499

Just found this " The Super 6 has eight banks of eight memory locations each for storing and recalling sounds you have created yourself. "

64 memory locations - this will last 2 hours for me - so this is no go for me in one blow.

Nordlead 700, DeepMind 1024, Prophet REV2 512, Prologue 500, Argon8 512, Kyra 896 - strange choice coming up with Roland level patch memories like on System-8.

These guys have the most info about it that I saw

It’s since been doubled to 128.... but yeah, that’s the one small thing I wish were different... but I’m accepting it. Had my preorder in since day 1

It’s the most compelling mix of sound quality, ease of use and synth power I’ve seen in a Polysynth

I was very tempted as well - but also know the reality how I respond if being cumbersome to handle presets. I got rid of KingKorg mostly due to having to keep notes which locations I felt like overwriting. Otherwise 300 locations is pretty ok. The more time you spend doing things - the more the smaller things matter.

Would be good if Super 6 is extended with good usb save options - a bit like System-8, where you can do backup to usb of entire synth - but just lack in being selective in which banks you want to restore. System-8 even has save on new names - so potentional is there - and I forwarded to Roland and they took it and will see what happends. They had all kinds of options doing system reset - but not for restore, that was all or nothing. It's all doable in a firmware update.

So usb save - each bank and restore the same way to any of earlier saved ones. That would make it acceptable. The idea of hardware is not having to use computer constantly.

Or make it work constantly towards usb memory stick. My first synth CZ1000 1985 had their memory cartridges work like that - you could activate removable cartridge as current banks. Then you activated each presets like factory or internal memory.

Prologue has a decent librarian though, quite easy to load synth over - move all presets you want to keep to beginning and then save back. But it has display as well as names and favorite markers to easy to do.

I just pre-ordered one, can’t wait!

Just been informed by the distributor that they will ship my Blue Super 6 to the dealer soon, the dealer will have it next week, and I’ll have it soon after. Got sent the .pdf manual too. Happy Daze Ahead! :)

New firmware is out, fixes the only audible bug I was noticing, very happy!

Loving it more every day, loaded some Prophet VS waves into it last week.

Congratulations on your new instrument! I didn't know they were even shipping yet. It would be interesting to hear how the Prophet VS waves sound within that architecture with the SSI filters.

I got one of the first batch, I have the first one in the EU, apparently. Sounds great with the Prophet VS waves, but the ones I found were kinda low res, so I am currently looking at getting all the Galbanum Architecture waves converted to S6 format, that would be great (over 25k waves!)

No recordings yet from me (and I never do vids). The S6 is in a different room so I can just concentrate on getting to know it, but I will have it back in the studio at some stage, and do intend to release some of the best bits of long form jams.

Sounds really nice. I've been thinking about getting a Prophet 6 for a while but the more I hear the the Super 6, the more difficult my decision becomes.
