Help with Attack Knob & Preset Selection

So I just started using this thing & I'm trying to get the attack know to work out and I can't seem to get it to alter the start of the sample for anything. Anyone able to share if & how they got it work?. Same with the Release. & also I'm trying to set up some buttons for switching presets is that possible?
