Hi,
I tried all, but I cannot get this Gilmore-Sound out of Stratosphere, even not in conjunction with Guitar Rig 5 as shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Ovu8w1clOI at 2.16. I can't even come near to it. Should it be impossible? Could it be, that the wrong pickup was sampled for that sound? Or does anybody know the trick?
I would be grateful for any help.
Best,

Johannes

Yeah it could be totally up to the pickups. And of course, the fingers are king...

It's a pity, that the pickups of the orangetree-guitars are only modeled by Kontakt-EQs.

"And of course, the fingers are king..." - you mean, when playing the keyboard or while sampling the guitar?

One other factor may be that a "fat Strat" was sampled for the Stratosphere library, as opposed to the classic Stratocaster setup with three single-coil pickups (Gilmour usually sets his Strat to bridge-pickup only, I believe). The "fat Strat" uses single-coil pickups for neck and middle positions, but has a humbucker pickup in the bridge position.
