Does this library do a suitable finger plucking sound for doing samba music and the like?

There isn't one specifically unfortunately Richard, but you might be able to emulate one by playing around with the settings in the Setup page: e.g
Pick Style: Upstroke Only
Pick Modeling: Enabled
Pick Position: Middle (with a little over toward the neck for a rounder sound)
Pick noise (low or off)
Have a play also with the fretting position also to get the best tone. Maybe consider using a transient shaper on the output to reduce the sustain of the notes a little more as well.
