3. Alive in Chernobyl - Sarcophagus (1:46)
4. EarthTones - Heady Mental (1:59)

Special Metel Mention: Sascha, whose farts would've got my vote! (And apologies if the entry was declared eligible and I missed it?)
Special Non-Metel Mention: You™ and his dead cat, who turned in one of my favorite tunes but misses the metel mark with me despite the erudite punnery.

Gaze upon my votes, ye mighty and despair.
1.Dr. Acula
2.Sascha Framk
3.Rusted Monkey
4.Thomas Christensen
5.Lady J.
6.Yaguchi
7.Guitar Jeff
8.Bonte
9.Donkey tugger
10.Alive in Chernobyl
These all met the criteria of
A). Being Metel
B). Sounding pretty good
c). Actually embracing the genre instead of just doing a variation on whatever they usually do.
...the last couple were a bit begrudging, (read the reviews), but deserve to make the list.
To the rest: Better luck next year!

Oki, having coined the term, METEL, I can interpret it any way I want. (this is how you pronounce it by the way - metel ,probably the kind of voice Cronos from venom uses when he goes to the shop for a pint of milk )
Anyway, here are me votes;
1 alive in chernobyl
2 guitar Jeff
3 slick muff
4 warbug
5 ugo
6 plunge
7 scarkord
8 freeztar
9 phz
10 greels (for the jaaath man), probably the worst song I've heard this decade, deserves a vote for that alone.

1. pHz - ironically, by not using stereotypical METEL sounds, has the defiance of METEL, therefore truer to actual spirit than the copyists! Wear your crown with pride Rob
2. Bonteburg - ditto
3. Guitarjeff - fantastic tunesmithery and actually sort of metel!
4. T-Willy - extremely METEL. I absolutely hate it,
but it fits the remit perfectly
5. Warbug - Rock Lord - got oomph and metelicity but manages to fit in some breakbeat action.
6. Sleek Month - Great song... Not really METEL however, more Rawk. Was expecting something fiercer. Needs trumpets.
7. Duncan Parsons - Bad Vibes - great idea, badly executed. You should have distorted the buggery out of everything (as should I)
8. Jeez - good pisstakery, got the metel sneer
9. armadillo - Ditto
10. Donkey Tugger - Cuntsucker - loved the jazz solo at 1:10. However, needs 13th chords.
Honourable mentions: Glooper, Liqih, Ixox, Markleford, Tancos.
And NOONE else.
