Thanks, the song was meant to feel like an abandoned Soviet/Eastern Bloc city during the winter, mostly inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky films such as Stalker. I also made another ambient song although it is imperfect and nowhere near "cold world".IncarnateX wrote:^^^^I was freezing all right but felt better about it in the end. At first, the distorted synth blades were like an intrusive winter storm coming in but it calmed, found balance and in the end, the snow was falling slowly and painted the lanscape white and harmonious. Simple as that. Good work, thanks for posting. Feel free to post anything related that you like.
Plz post your ambient, Techno, Rave, EBM/Industrial and related

With the concession that I have been smoking a little (too much) this evening, I can say that I just had one hell of a ride on a stormy sea with heaven reaching waves. It is your own fault, the picture invited so much and I was dragged in from the beginning. What other can I possible say than: Heey maaan, you reaally got me there, maan, it was like wooooah. It is friggin beautiful and dramatic and cinematic in one and the same experience. Thanks for posting and yes, it belongs here and “don’t you dare take it anywhere else, son”.Cinebient wrote: https://soundcloud.com/user-790535032/surreality
Only precaution is that I am generally sound addicted and have absolutely no sense of negative criticism toward anything from vaguely organised noise and beyond. Your noise, though, if deffo in the high end of my scale.

This IS an amazing track. This really does sound cinematic and it feels like I'm in the middle of nowhere and I have been walking through miles and miles until I finally collapse under dehydration and starvation and I'm minutes away from death.Cinebient wrote:Very interesting contributions here. Long time no see, thread. The other day I found an old 1992 demo tape from my time at music school when I wanted to become a filmscore composer. It is very 90s sounding, made on a Roland W30 and a Yamaha SY55, which basically were my studio then. No need to let it rot, so I have done my best to restore and remaster the mess, and it seems like the result is not that painful to listen to, So here is an example of what is supposed to be a cinematic ride. Sorry for any occasionally drops in level due to frayed tape parts.

I just discovered this thread. So here goes for an ambient/textural short piece I just made. I discovered this thread after posting it in the main Music Café thread so hopefully I'm not breaking any Rules.
Cheers.
