Thanks @Emphyrio! Yes Zebra is still very relevant for certain sounds. It's such a great synth when it comes to sound design stuff.

@frank1985 yah I'm kind of tempted to add some kind of electric guitars or something to that song, not sure what though yet. Thanks for the listen !

Latest track I conjured up while attempting to learn the Abbey Road Collection. This is a much more laid back track. I used Zebra, VSM, Europa VST, and an Ableton Drum kit fed through a bunch of Abbey Road plugins. Permut8 and Valhalla Delay were used on the sends

Made another track this afternoon, this one was done in Bitwig. Kind of going for a sinister lofi beat.

I really enjoyed that. If it were mine, I would be tempted to put a little delay on the snare for added darkness but it's not necessary. Great track. :tu:

Thx for the listen and feedback!

Hmm I'll give the snare idea a shot. That might actually sound pretty good!

Cheers

Another Zebra2 track made using only factory (Some heavily tweaked) presets.

Ableton Glue Compressor was used on the master and then fed into Presswerk as the Master limiter. All other FX were Zebrify or ZRev.

I really enjoyed listening to that. It reminded me of some of the New Age music I listen to. I usually use free software because money is tight but U-he have caught my imagination and Zebra is a beautiful sounding instrument. I am now following you on Soundcloud.

Thx for the follow! I followed you back! If you can afford to buy Zebra, I would whole-heartedly recommend it :tu:

I always keep going back to it even though I have some of the latest "analog modelled" stuff.

Also for the thread I have a brand new track up using Zebra2 again. This is all Zebra2 sounds!

Also added another track called Obey2049

Obey2049 has a lot of different sounds including Zebra2, Oberhausen, Kaleidoscope, etc

Thanks again for checking the tracks out :phones: Obey2049 was a fun track, I like how the Oberhausen can sound so huge, almost CS80ish.

I just picked up a proper loudness meter, because I really can't trust my ears when it comes to adjusting the loudness. I'll probably re-mix a bunch of the last tracks I did.

Having said that I just created a new little test loop.

for the drums I used Geist2 and a factory kit to create 3 loops. I played the 3 loops and then used Permut8 to "glitch" the sounds up.

Once I was happy with the sounds, I started Testing out the Waves WLM Loudness Meter Plugin on the master after everything.

The Glue and Presswerk are the only two dynamics processors on this but making little adjustments seem to adhere to the settings I picked in the WLM. I used the Glue as the Bus Comp for the Geist2->Permut8 track.

Ableton Reverb on Send A and Delay on Send B were used a little.

Presswerk was used in Limiter mode for the master output.

Custom Permut8 patches are used for the glitches and triggered via Midi.

This version has the Glue on the master channel before going into Presswerk, so you can hear it "glueing" the Sends and Geist together.
