Canon is pretty well known, one of my personal faves when it comes to classical. I've used synthesizers and orchestral samples to create some minimal ambient music. I did also upload some Tchaikovsky in a similar vein too, but youtube's content ID thinks its an opera track (being hit by a couple of these lately, really frustrating, more so than no-one listening to your music).

Anyway, hope you like this.

I liked yours more than the original, but it turns out to be one of the classical pieces I like the least (too wedding-friendly). And btw., it´s a really original approach on remaking, that you´re turning a classical piece into ambient. I don´t think I´ve seen that before!

Here´s another version of it that I like more than the original:

Yeah my original reworking of Tchaikovsky came out like Vangelis so I can see the link. That version got content ID'd though (by an opera company)

Not at the moment. Its still going through the appeal. I did upload a "drunken synth" version though:

Haha, sounds like a drowning church organ on LSD, desperately clinging to the Piano Concerto - perfect for a horrorfilm or something near-apocalyptic, as well as a critical docu about either the composer or current events in the country where he was born.
Piano Concerto #1 is one of my absolute all time faves, and this one didn´t pay disrespect to it. I actually once imagined lyrics for it and then turned into RnB, because it´s so melodical. Then again, I really don´t think I´d enjoy working with RnB..

I was thinking -- but Pachelbel's Canon is already long, slow and minimal, why make it worse? But drunken Tchaikovsky, I really think you're on to something there! Hoping the other track gets cleared soon. (I had my own Beethoven "cover" claimed by some record company too. I'm pretty sure they don't own the copyright on the original. But the appeal process went through pretty smoothly, only a small nuisance once I got past the scary legal wording.)

Yeah its amazing how "traditional" sounds become once you add a little reverb.
