Well, this is about as free-for-all as I can make. I've long been wanting to do something that showcases my Native American flute(s) against something orchestra-ish. And since I just got a free license to BBC Symphony Discover (which I don't think is worth much more than free, given its limitations) I give you:
Prairie Moon
Real instrument: Native American Flute (Butch Hall, High E)
Software instrument: Spitfire BBC Symphony Discover
Effects: just some standard Logic reverb and EQ.
Victor.

Here's my contribution. This is a song that means a lot to me. The lyrics are about the environment: Earth is just a small outpost in space, and arriving aliens must see the damage that we don't. Lyrics below!
Style-wise it's quite a busy mix, just my style (say, a mix of Peter Gabriel and Depeche Mode). I hope you enjoy it!

...and here it is in MP3 format (and downloadable):

Stuff used: MuLab and loads of MUXes , Ozone, Xpand!2, MiaFat, Transpire, Neutron, TDR Nova, MEqualizer, DC1A3, ProVocative, MConvolutionEZ, Lisp, TAL-Vocoder, Vielklang, MSpectralDelay, Sanford Reverb. A few samples from Sounds of Life (Ocean Swift) and a purring cat I sampled myself.
=== LYRICS ===
Sunny day
The sky is blue
It’s beautiful
And so are you
The ocean cruise
So fantastic
While the seas fill up
With microplastics
Back in the city
The sky is grey
From hundred million barrels
Of oil a day
So put your gas mask on
And carry on
There’s no risk getting stung
When all the bees are gone
Chorus
On this outpost in space that we call our home
Hear the message, the outcry, the plea
From the highest of mountains to the roots of the trees
From the seagulls to the depth of the sea
Come rescue me
And so we spend our cash
But what is it worth
When we have too much money
Too little earth
Divided we rose
Together we fall
‘Cause the world was so big
But the planet’s so small
Back from the city
With a brand new phone
Well who can we blame
When the fault is our own
And when the alien ships
Come down from the sky
They will see the signs
And they will hear the cry
Repeat chorus

A free for all...
That was too tempting to resist.

Made with some great oscs, filters, envelopes, drums and loads of switches, precision volt adders and other modules
Yup... a modular system, recorded in one pass
No loops.
