Shift 2 failing plugin scan in Studio One v 2

Title says it all - it crashes the host and gets blacklisted. Only the 32 bit plugin though (in the 32 bit host), the 64 bit version loads fine in the 64 bit version of S1 v2

OK, I'll take a look; there could very well be some issue with S1 v2, although (as far as I was aware) it was pretty solid under Studio One v1.
Is this Mac OS X (and if so, Audio Unit, or VST format), or Windows? Does this crash occur every time the plug-ins are scanned, or did it only occur the first time? Thanks!

Win 7 64 bit - happens everytime - I've tried resetting the blacklist and moving the dll but it still crashes

Could I trouble you to post the exact error message and/or crash log, if available? I've done some initial investigation, and, no luck: plug-in scanning seems to work alright here with the latest Shift (2.2.1) and Studio One (2.0.3.17345). This is on a completely clean (ie, just freshly installed) Windows 7 64-bit.
However... I do have some Shift fixes that, prior to the 2.3 'feature update', need publicly releasing at some point shortly. This includes a fix for an incredibly rare issue caused by a bug in the Windows 32-bit PNG library version I was using. This could be the very issue that you're seeing - would you be happy to receive and (hopefully) confirm an updated beta build fixes this?

There isn't one - it just says it crashed S1 and therefore won't be loaded - no more information than that
I'll try a reinstall - see if that does anything

OK, thanks for trying that. Would you be happy to try out a Shift beta VST dll if I send you a download link via pm?

Yeah sure - sounds to me like it is the 32 bit png bug as only the 32 bit version is affected

aMUSEd: I've PM'd you a link to a Shift 2 beta which I believe fixes this.

Fantastic - thanks for confirming the fix. I'll get this build ran through a complete test cycle, and endeavor to get a public release pushed out this week. In the interim, if anyone else is having the issue, they can drop me a PM and I'll happily sort them out with a link to the beta.
