Is planking still cool? I will plank it up bigtime for some prelim Aspects. Hope all is well in camp Loomer.

Planking? So last year. Harlem Shake is the what the kids are into now, right?

Aspect 2 will be getting the attention is deserves as soon as (the-product-we-used-to-call) Epoch is out. Although, I can perhaps make the wait a little more palatable for you; I'll make sure you get beta access.

Aspect still is one of my favourite software synths. Looking forward to the second version for sure!

It will be a while yet, I'm afraid; certainly post the beta release of (the product formerly known as) Epoch, although I do hope not too post!

I can't believe a sad face emoticon has made me feel guilty. :P It'll be worth the wait, though, I assure you!

I was just wondering if Aspect 2 wil have the ability to load samples?

Cheers,

Paul. :)

I hadn't planned to include sample support, although perhaps it could be done as an extension of wavetables (which, on the other hand, are on the agenda.) I'd be concerned that shoe-horning generic sample playback would means lots of controls and UI clutter, but I'll certainly add this to the request list and bear it in mind.

please kind sir, do not include me-too sample playback in Aspect. Wavetables (as in Waldorf/PPG) sounds like an awesome idea, and I'm all for phase distortion or FM with various spectra-induced wave oscillators... but samples...meh!.
Does that even make sense?
Anyway, can I beta too pls? :D
