I was just wondering if this is normal behaviour
In the screenshot I am using the get key to trigger an addition( which in turn triggers a new pack note ) , but it triggers at doubled speed 1/8 ( metro is set to 1/4) , depending on the pack note gate time ( from which it receives ) .
So I assume the get key is also sending data when it receives a note off .
Since a note value does not change when it receives a gate off , why does the 'get note' interpret this as a new value , hence the double output ?

Yes, exactly as you suspect: [get key] works with both noteon and noteoff MIDI messages. In your example it will dispatch the key twice, first when it gets a noteon, and then again with a noteoff.
