Percussiv gong and Shaker issues

Hi there.
I just purchased this wonderful percussion bank from acoustic samples. it really sounds amazing, but there YouTube demo shows playing techniques I cannot reproduce.
I am visually impaired, so it is possible that some parametres exist on their interface that my screenreader cannot see but here are the problems I am having.

1, In the demo, the Gong can be set to sustain through successive strokes. When I play it on my system, the sound stops as soon as I release its key on the keyboard. not entirely though, it has very nice release samples, but I cannot get the full residents. The sustain pedal has no effect.

2, The Shakers behave strangely to, it responds to velocity, but, when played at identical velocities, I can hear different samples are played randomly, some are tighter, some are looser, it sounds as some kind of uncontrolled round robin.
I am using the latest UVI version, 2.6.8X64, under Windows 7 64 bits.
I wrote to their tech support but got no response for the moment.
Can you help?
