Helpful tip on holding Ctrl key! I came in to report not being able to re-launch after a crash. I could see RC opening then crashing as it tried to reload the previous comp. Ctrl key solved:)

I think I managed to fix all VSTi related problems in the next update. v3.64 will be uploaded tomorrow (January 24th) with lots of fixes for VSTi, especially for multi-timbral instruments. All issues were reported by BluGenes, which I am very grateful for.

There is a Troubleshooting chapter in the wiki where holding down the Ctrl or Alt (option) key during start-up is explained.

hi, dunno it's a bug report or a feature request, IMO would be handy if RC able to recognise the seventh chords before the more exotic ones

some of them are good but it's not consistent,
maybe it just a small tweaking in the chord recognition algorithm ... maybe not

Yes, small tweaking... It took about 10 minutes to add a new setting to prefer 7th to 6th during chord detection.
Now it works like that when the setting is enabled (Settings / Miscellaneous / Analysis), instead of F6:

At the moment I am not able to tell when the next beta version will be uploaded.

I've tried this multiple times and it seems consistent:
Drag a MIDI file from the Finder to a track, but don't drop it (when seeing that it's too long for example), just move the loaded cursor back out of RC. Back in RC, the cursor still has the file attached anyway. Click to drop it, then select and delete. RC crashes within a few seconds. Crash report available if you like. Just dropping the file initially and deleting it works fine, so lesson learned, so reporting just in case you're interested:)

I have noticed this a few time now in 3.64
After working in a composition for awhile, I select (from the icon) composition save. Then I use the 'X' on the app window frame and am told changes were made - do I want to save dialog.

With Rapid Composer as a VST in Bitwig the first note of a looped region (1.1.1.00 - 3.1.1.00) is missed if it starts on 1.1.1.00. That doesn't happen with the other MIDI generating sequencer plugins I use (Audio Vitamins Stochas, Loomer Architect, etc.).

My reply disappeared

I have tried this (of course I turned off automatic saving before quitting) but it never displayed the save dialog. At the moment I don't know why it appears for you...
