Symphony no 1 in C Major is finished!
All sections composed in RC with minimal tweaking. Percussion added in DAW and some double tracking but I'm pretty pleased with it.
If there is one "must Have" feature in RC for me, it's the staccato generator, Brilliant feature.
Anyway, here it is:

00:00 Overture (Moderato)
01:23 2nd Movement (Adagio)
04:10 3rd Movement (Allegro con Adagio)
06:18 4th Movement (Allegro)
07:42 5th Movement (Andante)
09:21 6th Movement (Moderato)
11:09 7th Movement (Marcia Moderato)
13:00 Finale (Moderato)

I'm off for a lie down now :)

Cheers.
Mike.

Many thanks Attila. It was a challenge!
Cheers. Mike. :)

Taking a bit of inspiration from JoseJuan's cello piece.
The Markov strikes again.

Very nice! I hope harmonization worked reasonably well, and you did not have to modify the chords too many times... I did not expect that the Markov Melody generator would ever have users ;)
Thanks!

Thanks Attila.
The harmonization worked ok with this one as there are some fairly long notes.
I usually start with "Bars or Strong Beats" and "Expected" but slacken off to "Beats" and "Less Expected" if hamonization stops. When creating melodies, I tend not to worry about cadences as it can restrict the harmonization and I can easily 'fix' the last bar by altering the notes and then providing a turnaround.

If there's a couple of bars that just won't harmonize, I look at the individual notes and work out a chord from that and sometimes just go out on a limb with pleasing results.

Markov is underrated I think because it looks scary, but it can give some great starting points for melodies if you tweak the rhythm and the other parameters. Great feature. Glad it's included and it's my preferred way of creating melodies / motives.

Cheers.
Mike.

Really nice. I like how you had the background sound effects working with the music,
Cheers. Mike.

Sound effect was an additional challenge because the original footage has no sound at all. Thanks.

Beautiful, Michael. Thanks
The work with cello I could already hear it on YouTube. I loved.
Also precious that Codetronx work. Thank you so much for sharing it
I also bring you another little work with cello. I'm still using the Markov generator. My wife is a cellist, and she will have many things to play, hehe

Very nice JoseJuan.
I liked the way you used the fingerpicking generator on the piano track. Interesting Rhythms there as well and the Cello sounds lush.

The horns were great too.
Nice piece.
Cheers.
Mike.

Really lovely, thanks for posting...

One little annoyance - can anything be done about the rather abrupt sounding, note release/stop at the end of phrases on the cello..? For me it results in the phrase seeming to have little air to breathe nicely... (how i think it should sound anyway.!). I'll guess this is not a RC option to adjust per se, but will be down to how much control the sound source/sample library allows (articulations.?)

Just a thought... ;-)

Certain. It always depends on the VST instruments we have. I have tried to do it quite naturally (as a cellist would), but it is not the most important thing for me now (and that is very wrong when I have always been an orchestral player). I try to use RC as a powerful weapon to create.
Maybe, in a live performance, things have to change, and in that I also fully trust the professionals.
Thanks for your comment.
