Yes, that would be very helpful for testing.

The beta goes slowly. I am reworking how MIDI CC's are handled, preparing for MPE. There are nice UI enhancements, value and text entry has been reworked. Some issues were fixed, so now you can send MIDI program change to VST plug-ins using an .rcINST file.

I saved a chord progression in Harmonic Major but when I drag it in it is in Major, when I try to change it, it will only change the one chord (there may be an easy way I'm missing ?).
I thought if you highlight the chords then change the scale it would change the scale for all those chords. It's the same with the tempo and signature.
I should be able to remove the Major to the right of Harmonic Major so all bars after that are Harmonic Major, same with Tempo and Signature.
But as mentioned b4 they may be an easy way that I have missed.
In Reaper you insert a signature or tempo change in the master track and it changes the rest of the bars until another is added.
Scroll bars would be good for saved long progressions as the window is not big enough.
A pin would be good on the VST window to toggle it Always on Top or Not.

I think MPE is not important for now, i mean only that you take a look so you plan your design that it is later easy to add MPE

MPE use multiple midi channels. every note have its own channel and so every note can have other controller data. the limit is that not more than 16 notes can play at same time. but this is more than enough. that notes can have diffrent pitch bends or controller is not so usefull i think, most usefull of MPE is, that it is possible to move a note and the controller data is move too, because it is tie to the note.

RapidComposer v3.5b8 is available!

EDIT: you can download the beta now, the crash was fixed

Lots of work went into the user interface. I like the new 'Dark' theme so much that it became the default theme for new installations... As usual, please let me know if you find an issue.

Changes since v3.5b7:

Value entry and editing reworked. By right clicking and dragging you can increase/decrease the values faster (horizontally) or slower (vertical dragging)
'Export Chords As Text' added
Yamaha XG drum maps added
'Dark' and 'Desert' UI themes added. 'Dark' became the default theme for new installations.
Improvements when MIDI program change is sent to VST plug-ins
Fixed: timeline is updated for signature changes
Apply offset to rhythm notes in Percussion Generator
Chord analysis in MIDI import is more reliable, mysterious crashes eliminated
Hiding less used settings in the Phrase Inspector and other user interface improvements
Lots of low-level rework to increase stability

The first thing I did was try to open the browser and click on the arrow of the browsers on the top left - Immediate crash!
I tried several times.

When I open the master track inspector (the properties of the object, where checkbox -length,- chord, -scale)) - the lowest checkbox has no name. What is the name of this function? (Although I certainly know what it is)))

'Export Chords As Text' added

In the last few days I needed that, I was going to suggest it but thought no, I ask for too many things lol, so I just edited the saved progression *,rcCHPR in a text editor.
That's what I like about RC !
ABC and MusicXML would be a good export also.

Right, it crashes also because of the UI changes. I have fixed that now.
I will upload a new version later today with the fix.
