Hi,

I have currently no clue how to automate the pitch bend for Session Strings.

Can someone please help me with this problem :?

There is a pitch bend activated in the source modulation but i cant find this automation value in Logic X automation mode.

Pitch bend is a MIDI CC message, not a host automation parameter. So, you would use Logic's MIDI editor to create pitch bend events.

Hey EvilDragon,

Im using Logic X 10.1, so the midi editor has changed to step editor. I tried using the step editor to automate the pitch bend but it still doesn't work.

There has to be a full-blown piano roll in there somewhere. It's a DAW, it has to have it. Perhaps it's the "hyper editor" or how do they call it. :)

Alright I solved it by assigning the tune knob to host automation in kontakt automation tab. Thanks for the help!

That's a pretty nasty way of dealing with it... Just follow the link that Thomas posted above and that's how you should do it properly. :)

Hey EvilDragon,

Yea I am aware of the method above but there is one problem..how do i reset the pitch value after increasing it? It always stays in the increased value without going back to the original value.

Since that method is MIDI data instead of automation I cant find a way to lock it to the region itself..

You reset it simply by setting it back to middle, easy.
