Hi all,

My question relates to Native Instruments/e-instrument's Session Horns Pro.

I've loaded a keyswitch patch and assigned various articulations to notes on my midi controller keyboard. However when I play the notes on the midi keyboard, the articulations don't change. I can select different articulations using the mouse & onscreen buttons but I really need it happen via my midi keyboard.

Can anyone assist here, please?

Many thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

My guess is that you are using the wrong octave range. The key switches are located below the lowest Tuba note, starting from C-1 (C minus 1). If you open the little GUI keyboard in Kontakt, you will find them indicated in red.

Hope this helps.

Further to the above, bear in mind that the numbering of octaves is not standardised, so a C1 on one keyboard can be a C2 on another, depending on where you start counting. The same applies to your piano roll; the octaves may be numbered differently than in Kontakt.

Just go up/down an octave or two until you find the right note.
