Annual Subscription for Kaleidoscope Kaleidoscope

Post

Two Kaleidoscope patches from the upcoming subscription set no. 41 - both KS instances use the same external input sources (stereo-phased ocean waves + pink noise), some volume automation in LogicX, Breeze 2 and BYOME provide the space. Strange stuff...

Hi Simon. I never got to thank you for all the work with Kaleidoscope. 2CAudio seems dead now. I have a new M1 Mac and nothing from 2CAudio works. So sad because I used your presets all the time. It looks like Metasynth is the only alternative but I'm not sure I want to go that route. Anyway, I'm a fan of your work. Wishing you much success in 2023!

Thanks for the kind words.
It's a drag with Kaleidoscope, B2, Breeze 2, Precedence, Aether but also with Iris, Alchemy 1, FxPansion Tremor, Spectral, NI Absynth and so forth....
When I started commercial sound design I had the illusion that the sound libraries I create would work forever but I soon learned the opposite. But rather than feeling frustrated about it I now tend to move on, trying to keep at least one computer with an older OS and Intel chips so that my favorite software instruments and effects don't just vanish.
The shitshow between Andrew and Dennis from 2CAudio live here on KVR was so embarrassing to witness, precarious embarrassment at its best. I had a video chat with Andrew last summer and he insisted that there would be a version 2 of Kaleidoscope but I guess that was only wishful thinking.
