delay sample not working

I've recently posted on a separate issue-apologies for clogging up the message board-but Ive been trying to solve this issue for a couple of hours with no joy so far.

Simple problem, the delay function (delay sample trigger that is) doesn't work.

I can load up a fresh project, a fresh TX, load in a sample, it plays fine, the LFO's work, the sample start works, envelopes, the filters etc- everything works fine except the delay dial. Ive been through all the settings on my DAW and TX to check the midi set-up, it doesn't work live or with recorded midi, i've tried with the onboard keyboard and 2 external keyboards and i've changed midi channels, Ive also tried routing stuff like LFO, envelope and random to modulate delay as a way of checking it, but again the sample always triggers instantly.

Ive got osx 10.7 and logic express, TX pro and i've recently downloaded the latest version. I don't remember this being a problem with the previous version but I rarely required the parameter until now, its probably a problem specific to my (ageing) set-up.

Can you try it with the 2.4.2h beta build? I'm guessing this is AU specific, and is the same "sample rate not set up right" issue as was fixed there.

Thanks v.much for the response.

I think I did that recently, but I just downloaded that beta build you mentioned from this address to make sure- http://www.tx16wx.com/beta-releases/ and installed the AU and VST builds.

Slight problem though, Logic wont open now, it says 'Logic Express quit unexpectedly while using the TX16Wx plugin' then a load of code text. Its happened 3 times in a row. Something tells me I need to uninstall the VST build...am I in the right ball park?

Yes sorry, excuse my ignorance, I realise actually I didn't download the beta build recently, as I have confusingly stated, I just downloaded the normal update from the home page.
But I have downloaded the beta build now, and Logic wont open...

Yes I can, if you mean the error message that appears when I attempt to open Logic- theres a lot of text/code, do you want me to post it here or e-mail?

tedoo: It seems I introduced a bug with old AU clients (i.e. your osx 10.7 + Logic 9). Unfortunately, I don't really have neither old OSX or old logic to test with, so it's a little big of shooting in the dark, but I think I know what's broken. I'll update the beta build asap, and you can test it then.

For someone shooting in the dark your aim is exemplary.

I haven't had time to thoroughly check it all, but Logic now opens and the sample delay works!

There was a slight issue locating a file on startup-dunno if that was the sampler or not-I'll let you know, but THANKS very much indeed and well done. I was getting pretty worried.

Its not a problem with the software-but Logic is having trouble locating files upon start-up, I've read that unless I uninstall the previous AU before downloading a new one, the cache can get messed up. Logic doesn't know where to look but the files are all there and compatible still.

Anyone any experience of this problem?

What "files"? Samples?

samples i guess, eg cannot locate "Clap2.wav, then id have to search for it myself. but once id located them and then saved the project, it seems to be ok now. and i uninstalled and reinstalled which may have helped- this is not something many people will have a problem with anyway because its an old osx and logic.
