TX13Wx 3.0.0. How to have version 2 and 3 on the same computer

As you can see there are some initial problems with the new version.

Until these bugs are fixed you might want to have both versions installed on your computer. So here is a little how-to:

Both versions store their settings in a folder called %Appdata%\Local\TX16Wx where %Appdata% normally is a hidden folder inside your user folder. For example: "C:\Users\Username\Appdata\Local\TX16Wx"

• If you rename the settings folder of version 2 (for example by adding a "2") it will not be found by version 3

• Now install version 3. That will create a new TX16Wx folder for settings.

• Now you can decide. The settings folder of whichever version you want to run must be named TX16Wx and the other one different.

• You cannot run both version at the same time.

Of course that's just a workaround until version 3 is bug free, can't be long



P.S. This is valid for Windows (I have Win7) no idea about Macs.
