I've now got synth1 1.13b1 (32 bit) running under Tracktion 5.3.9 for Linux!

To achieve this I had to build the vst-bridge plugin:

https://github.com/abique/vst-bridge/tree/xembed

In addition to what it states you will also need to have the wine dev and libmagic dev packages installed to build the bridge maker but I expect falkTX will get this packaged for Ubuntu and Debian users shortly.

I have had many more of the VST bridge plugins work under qtractor than Tracktion so it shows T5's VST support has room for improvement, at least under Linux.

Examples of VST bridge plugins I made with this that worked under qtractor but not Tracktion include Crystal:

and Daedalus

good to see somebody interested in music under Linux.
Would be a dream to use OSX or VST plugins.

Return to “Tracktion”
