The UM2 comes with a copy of T7. You need to register the UM2 on the Behringer site
http://www.music-group.com/brand/behrin ... gistration

then you get a code for T7, to put in here -

It says to enter a Serial #. Where in the world would I get that?

Sorry, you mean on the behringer site. I don't know where you get the serial number for the behringer product, i assume it's printed on a label on the UM2 itself. Maybe underneath?

Hey that worked! Thanks, I would never have thought the Bar Code was the Serial # lol

I can't believe these idiots asked for proof of purchase and the City of the dealer~! I uploaded a screen shot of my ebay email, hope that satisfies this :(

It's been almost 2 weeks. In that time I've not heard if they've accepted my documentation OR if I'm getting a code for a free copy of Version 7? Think maybe I need to write them again, or are they just too swamped over the holidays :-/

Who are we talking about? Behringer?

Thank you for producing these instructional videos for Tracktion.

I have recently been watching the Studio One Pro videos on Groove 3 produced by you and others. While they are all good instructional videos, I must say that the ones which you had produced are my favorites: they are voiced clearly, they are easy-to-follow along with, and they cover a good selection of useful topics.

Yeah. I was informed that I could register my interface on the Behr website and get a code for a free copy of Tracktion 7. They asked me for a lot of documentation incl. proof of purchase [for an Internet transaction~!] Did the best I could, have not heard back at all

There's something on the Behringer site called "Music Tribe." Idk if it would do me any good to sign up for that or not...

Emailed them. All I can do right now, I guess.

BINGO~! Setting up T7 on my PC as we speak. Thanks ;-)

What I found on Midi - though I may pick up BIll's Tracktion 5 vid since the 7 felt more like an update to info.
I felt key confusion when coming from Ableton / Bitwig...

Does anyone know how current these methods still are?

The T5 Explained series by Bill Edstrom, over at the Groove3 site covers the Tracktion fundamentals. The newer versions have added some new features, but the core workflow is mostly the same since T5.
