Introduction to Modular Synthesis?

I was wondering whether you might be able to recommend any introductory videos/books/etc., that cover the basics of modular synthesis?

If you were recommending some learning material to yourself when you just got started with modular, what would it be? I am familiar with subtractive synthesis (and some FM) but I am yet to try to add modular to my arsenal and frankly is confuses the f**k out of me.
