thanks both of you, cinnamon was the only one out of all the ones mentioned that was already on my radar. it seemed like a simple and inexpensive basic filter. which can always come in handy
the rest, ive heard a couple of them mentioned, but ill give them a looksee on youtube and see what takes my fancy.
thanks again to you both, others too, for all the help along the way

this is where im currently at, plus the cartesian system.
still need to spend a fair bit of time getting under the hoods of the two sequencers, both seem to have hidden(well not immediately obvious) functions, but even with just basic use they've been fun so far
the telharmonic has been a pleasant surprise too, capable of some nice (my kind of nice) sounds that no one really showcased in any of the videos i saw, although the organ sounds are quite lovely too.

That's always the way it is I think. People demo certain kinds of sounds, and when you get one you find it can do a bunch of other stuff you like that nobody was demoing. And sometimes people don't really believe that it can do those things, even after you do them.

Same here. I just cannot fathom the need to combine it with modular.vurt wrote:piss off, i love lego

That said I'd still probably get one as a blank.

don't intend having space long enough to make blanks necessary (unless i end up with unfillable 1 or 2 hp at the end )

When I saw the lego compatible panel, I had this flash of inspiration, that I could use Lego Technic parts to somehow automate knobs and such... Then I was like, "you're gonna use Legos to do, what exactly?" It made sense for almost 2 whole seconds.

the completed alpha stage...
https://cdn.modulargrid.net/img/racks/m ... 630102.jpg
now on to beta
with possibility of a couple of field kits before i get another mantis...?
i also have the make noise cartesian skiff.
still plenty of "boring" utils to go, but still a few odd exciting bits to pick up along the way to keep it fun
clouds and erbe verb are looking promising so far
