Modules
VCV Rack, the Eurorack simulator

Post

get software
play around for a good while
learn how you like to work
buy a real one if you think you need to
everyone I know with eurorack has spent a lot of money on modules they found they didn't need/like/use after the initial learning curve

I know, I just watched his video on Hungry Robot Wardenclyffe and now I kind of feel like I need it :dog:

Gonna make myself wait until I see how pedals fit on the top of my new modular case... which should be shipping any day now (glances in the general direction of the Netherlands).

Anyway, "what to buy" is really one of the all-consuming questions in modular, and you will never fully answer it. For "how to start" though, I agree with Knobs. Start slow, probably with a semi-modular, pick one module that is exciting to you, and don't worry too much about other peoples' advice including this advice :hihi:
