There is a way to hack a plugin ID with a hex editor - you need to know the old and new VST IDs then do a search and replace for that particular ID in the Hex editor and resave. I've only got it to work with Win VSTs though.

It would be good to get an official response for this plugin ID business. I guess it will be permanent but I'd like to know for sure before i go through the long process of replacing things.

Do I understand it correctly that there is no AAX in ver.1.1.0? (I thought AAX finally came with the ver.1.0.19, but now I don't see it again. Have I missed something? Anybody know?...)
