Hello,

Let me present to you my Soundset Vol.1 for Xfer Serum.

A collection of 128 presets carefully elaborated spaning from pristine etheral mallets to growling and agressive basses.

Evolving, powerful and complex sounds that never really sound identical twice and always sound deliciously different one note after the other.

Just for one thing : to be a pleasure to play.

Content :

128 presets
39 wav samples (44.1 kHz/24 bit)
129 wavetables

All presets have Velocity, Modwheel, Aftertouch and the 4 Macros extensively assigned.

Presets by type:

12 Basses (BA)
41 Mallets, Bells & Plucks (MAL)
11 Keys (KY)
2 Soft Leads (LD)
11 Pads & Strings (PD)
1 Percussion (PERC)
3 Soundscapes (SC)
46 Synths (SY)
1 Sequence (SQ)

Audio Demos

All demos in this playlist were produced with only one track and one preset (with, sometimes, a groove coming from Maschine or Tempest)

So nice to have banks that 'live', that modwheel, aftertouch, macros are mapped and bring them to life.
Only comments is that I note this is Volume 1.... :-)
I assume we will have more to come :-).
I am wondering if it is this bank, sometime last year, I don't remember the month, Steve had tweeted that he heard one of the most fantastic Serum banks so much so that he was considering it making it part of the Factory Bank. He never stated which bank and which developer afaik.
However months later, the factory bank afaik is still the same.
You wouldn't perchance know if this was the bank he was speaking about? I wouldn't be surprised.

First of all, thank you very much for your warm feedback

Let me take this opportunity to talk a little bit about me and what is coming...

I'm more than happy to read this as it was my very first goal. Indeed, before anything else, I'm a musician with a classical and "world music" background and I'm used to play acoustic instruments. Marimba being my preferred one. I'm also a big fan of analog synths and their instability. I'm building a modular synth, at the moment. (50% DIY !) On the other hand, I really like the sound of the last soft synths. The problem is that when you play them (not always true, luckily), they don't give you all the little "surprises" of a real musical instrument. They have to be designed/programmed for that purpose. All the presets in this bank have been extensively played, and should not be boring to play. :D

For this soundset, I've designed maybe 500 or 600 presets but when you deal with such a quantity, a lot of them are "cousins", "sisters", "brothers", relative of any sort or just the opposite, nothing to do one with another. I decided to release only a small part of them and let time take care of the others. This bank is a sort of swiss-army tool. You can easily make a whole album with it. Maybe the following will be more focused : hi hat, snares, percussion, drums or only strings/pads, or fx/noises/soundscapes, etc.
To breath some fresh air and let the dust settle, I've chosen Valhalla UberMod for my next project. It's almost finished and so far, I'm pretty happy with the results. If all goes well, it should be released in the coming weeks.
After that, in the coming months, Diva, Prophet08, or Maschine ?

:-)
what I also like about this bank is that at least I think, you used Serum unabashedly as what it is to me, a fantastic Digital synth ala Massive ala Diversion..

Hi, I hope you are working on a Vol. 2.
